The checklist

  1. No sell route = honeypot.
  2. Pool almost empty: below roughly $5,000 liquidity even your own sell moves the price a lot.
  3. Liquidity not locked: the pool can be pulled.
  4. Top 10 hold over 50%: a few wallets can dump everything.
  5. Mint or freeze active: print new tokens or freeze wallets.
  6. Hidden fees or special rights on Token-2022 coins.
  7. Fake: same name as a well-known coin, different address.

Why it matters

Most losses on new memecoins don’t come from bad charts but from exactly these traps. Checking for 10 seconds before buying avoids many of them. The check above covers all seven points at once.

FAQ

How much liquidity is enough?

As a rough guide: below $5,000 is very risky, below $50,000 only suits small amounts. More liquidity means less price impact when selling.

Does this apply to big coins too?

Large verified coins have different risks. These warning signs are mainly meant for new, small memecoins.
